Train journey to London

In this Image Beth is writing out the lyrics that are in the song what we are creating a music video for. so we are discussing the possible words that can be placed on the card when we stand in front of various locations around London

We have finally figured out what words could be used to make it look interesting and suit the song, otherwise if we chose two words that were together then it would look a bit out of place because the words are too close together, so we had to make sure that the words were at enough distance apart

Filming up london

Today me Tom and Beth are going to try and get the last recordings for our music video, we are going to be going up London and filming Tom wtih various lyrics to the song in different locations, this will be the final part to the music video and we are going to have to edit real quick in the last day as the deadline tomorrow.
The plan will be to be infront of different landmarks in London to make the music video look intresting, effective and even commical at some times. We are going to try and include different angle shots to make the character being filmed look different in every single shot.

Filming the Band scene

 On friday our group and the other group had booked the drama room, this was because our music video was due in for the next friday coming and we needed to do our band scene  so we filmed it on friday, there are a few pictures below to proove the experience.

Helping the other group

On friday 9th we had booked the drama room for 2:10 so we could perform our band scene for our music video, the other group were going to do there band scene first because there's were longer then we was going to do our one after. below are a few pictures of what the drama room looked like and a few things that we used.

Filming at Party Go Go

On friday we decided to start filming at Party Go Go for a part in our music video

Filming

This friday we decided to film the OH ME OH MY take by the brick wall at the side of our school, for this we needed some people's help so we ask Charlie Land, Jake Knowles, Jake Williams and Tom Mason (who is in our group). I was the one that was filming and Beth was helping the people do the change over with the OH ME OH MY pieces of card. First we filmed Tom doing a normal take of OH then we filmed him doing on of him with ME which was the error take. then we had Charlie being filmed with ME which was the correct take and filming him with the OH which was the error shot. The third part of filming is Jake Knowles and Jake Williams who is being filmed with one correct take.

Begginning to film our music video

Tom and Beth went to Beth's dads house as he was having a firework night and we thought that it was good to get some video footage of the fireworks, we may use the fireworks to spell our OH ME OH MY in a part of our music video.

This isn't fully what we had in mind but it is the closest image i could find, we want to have the OH ME OH MY coming out of the exploding firework.

Resources we will need

The OH ME OH MY take:

For this take there are going to be some different ways in which we actually film it. The first one will be when the four people holding up the OH ME OH MY cards, but it goes wrong because the ME and the MY are the wrong way round so it doesn't look right in which they then change it while being filmed. The next take is also going to be wrong so they have to have one big swap over which will make it look creative, interesting and most importantly funny. This will also all be filmed in front of the brick wall.

The Gig

The gig is going to be filmed in our school hall because we have got the stage and we can use some of the music equipment from the music department. We will have a electric guitar and the drums on the stage with a lead singer mike on a stand. this will make it look like a gig type effect. Also we will darken the room and add some lights if possible so it looks like a proper gig. We are going to try and include everyone in the gig so everyone has had a part in the video. The clothing we are going to try and use is a type of indie type, so some people are going to be wearing chinos for instance.

The Fireworks

Beth and Tom went to Beth's dad's for one weekend and they had a fireworks display, in which the got some good footage of live fireworks, and when they come back and showed me the fireworks i had an idea of to have one of the OH ME OH MY takes to be like coming out of the fireworks, so as the firework exploded it would come out of the middle of the firework, this would make it look effective and creative.

Paint fight

The paint fight may not be used yet as we still are not convinced that it would work in the music video, but if we did use it we would get a reasonable amount of paint and everyone would dress in white all in one's for instance and be in a white room, this would make it look very creative and interesting, and it would be good to have it apart of our music video.

The OH ME OH MY take

One idea that we are certainly going to use is the OH ME OH MY section, what we are planning to do is to have four different people in four different corners in which they have their own specific board one saying OH, one saying ME, one saying OH and the last one saying MY. as this is being filmed the people will have the cards the wrond way round in which it will make it comical as they are trying to switch them around while being filmed.

Here the messages in media texts are injected into the audience by the powerful, syringe-like, media

The audience is powerless to resist

Therefore, the media works like a drug and the audience is drugged, addicted, doped or duped

Not as many as we wanted

After the survey has been completed for 2 weeks now and we have only received 5 people that has completed them, this is pretty bad and we need more so we can have a better go at analysing the results. we got at least 50 responses last time for our thriller film and we now are looking for the same amount of responses and hopefully more to really get a grip of what people are thinking about the music video

An idea for the front of our DigiPak

This is an idea that we thought of when we were thinking of what our digipak was going to look like, we havent yet thought about the other six sides to the digipak but we believe that this picture of four different people holding a seperat piece of paper with the chorus "OH" " ME" "OH" "MY" on it, we believed this would look creative and effective for the front cover. We are also going to use this in our music video.

The survey on Facebook

To publish the survey we needed to some how publish it so other people apart from our group members and the people in our media class, so we decided to put it on Facebook.

The reason why we are posting on Facebook is because it allows all of our friends and family to give us their own view on the music video, it is only a click away which means apart from completing the survey it is not time consuming.

To gain information about what people think about music videos we decided to create a survey asking various questions based on music videos. We needed to do this because we need to know who our target audience will be and what the current status on music videos are. 

This question is to seperate the men's results from the women's
