Resources we will need

The OH ME OH MY take:

For this take there are going to be some different ways in which we actually film it. The first one will be when the four people holding up the OH ME OH MY cards, but it goes wrong because the ME and the MY are the wrong way round so it doesn't look right in which they then change it while being filmed. The next take is also going to be wrong so they have to have one big swap over which will make it look creative, interesting and most importantly funny. This will also all be filmed in front of the brick wall.

The Gig

The gig is going to be filmed in our school hall because we have got the stage and we can use some of the music equipment from the music department. We will have a electric guitar and the drums on the stage with a lead singer mike on a stand. this will make it look like a gig type effect. Also we will darken the room and add some lights if possible so it looks like a proper gig. We are going to try and include everyone in the gig so everyone has had a part in the video. The clothing we are going to try and use is a type of indie type, so some people are going to be wearing chinos for instance.

The Fireworks

Beth and Tom went to Beth's dad's for one weekend and they had a fireworks display, in which the got some good footage of live fireworks, and when they come back and showed me the fireworks i had an idea of to have one of the OH ME OH MY takes to be like coming out of the fireworks, so as the firework exploded it would come out of the middle of the firework, this would make it look effective and creative.

Paint fight

The paint fight may not be used yet as we still are not convinced that it would work in the music video, but if we did use it we would get a reasonable amount of paint and everyone would dress in white all in one's for instance and be in a white room, this would make it look very creative and interesting, and it would be good to have it apart of our music video.

The OH ME OH MY take

One idea that we are certainly going to use is the OH ME OH MY section, what we are planning to do is to have four different people in four different corners in which they have their own specific board one saying OH, one saying ME, one saying OH and the last one saying MY. as this is being filmed the people will have the cards the wrond way round in which it will make it comical as they are trying to switch them around while being filmed.

Here the messages in media texts are injected into the audience by the powerful, syringe-like, media

The audience is powerless to resist

Therefore, the media works like a drug and the audience is drugged, addicted, doped or duped

Not as many as we wanted

After the survey has been completed for 2 weeks now and we have only received 5 people that has completed them, this is pretty bad and we need more so we can have a better go at analysing the results. we got at least 50 responses last time for our thriller film and we now are looking for the same amount of responses and hopefully more to really get a grip of what people are thinking about the music video

An idea for the front of our DigiPak

This is an idea that we thought of when we were thinking of what our digipak was going to look like, we havent yet thought about the other six sides to the digipak but we believe that this picture of four different people holding a seperat piece of paper with the chorus "OH" " ME" "OH" "MY" on it, we believed this would look creative and effective for the front cover. We are also going to use this in our music video.

The survey on Facebook

To publish the survey we needed to some how publish it so other people apart from our group members and the people in our media class, so we decided to put it on Facebook.

The reason why we are posting on Facebook is because it allows all of our friends and family to give us their own view on the music video, it is only a click away which means apart from completing the survey it is not time consuming.

To gain information about what people think about music videos we decided to create a survey asking various questions based on music videos. We needed to do this because we need to know who our target audience will be and what the current status on music videos are. 

This question is to seperate the men's results from the women's

To see the taste in peoples favourite music video and to see what they are looking for.

The reason we added this in to see what we could add to make the music video liked for others.

Digipak

Browsing through the web i couldnt really see a 6 side Digipak, so i had to use this one.

The first side of the digipak is simply a white background with a booklet in, this has all the lyrics of the songs that Mariah Carey has made for the album.

This is the front cover of the digipak, it has three pictures of Mariah carey at 3 different angles, these are appealing to the males that look at the picture

This is the next picture on the digipak, it has got the name of the album in the bottom right hand corner,  and year is shown aswell. 

This is the next picture and this is a revealling picture of Mariah herself, and it will be looked at by many males who are looking at the digipak.  

This is another picture of Mariah Carey singing in her own background, once again its just like a normal screenshot, with the title of the album and the year it was brought out. 

On the back of the digipak there is the barcode where you can scan to sell in the shops, there is the list of songs what are on the album, and there is a picture of Mariah Carey that will look good for when males are viewing the back of the CD.

This is the inside cover of the digipak which is the booklet with all the lyrics and quotes from her or her producers. It has a picture of her. 

Some conflict

Me and tom both looked on www.unsigned.com to look at any other songs we could use for our Music video. Tom found a song from the Silent Sundays called 'Thin Black Jeans' and I found a song by Anonymous Shapes called 'Trip (Jet-Lag)'. We couldn't agree on which one to use so we have all agreed with the other members in our group to stick to our original plan, and to use 'Oh my, Oh my'

Change in group

Joe barwick has decided to quit sixth form so we have now dropped down to 3 members, we hope Joe has made the best choice for him and we wish him the best

Analysis of a CD cover

Editing the focus group

When we were editing our focus group we decided to take a few screenshots to show how we created the final focus group.

This screenshot is showing the different video transitions that we were able to use, the two that we decided to use was the 3D box at the very begining. then throughout the focus group interview we used the fade in and fade outs. 

This is what the final focus group and the last stage of editing looked like and with the different cuts of the video put into the right place. 

This is the length and the amount of dragged out fade ins and fade outs so the final video looked professional enough to finish of with.

Focus group being filmed

We had made a focus group to see what people thought about the song that we had chose to use in our music video, we played the song to them and allowed them to listen to it for about 20 seconds, we then ask them some questions about the song.
